Inflation has made deals pretty hard to come by these days, which is why we’re extra thankful to have Costco in our lives.
The members-only warehouse makes discount shopping possible for families (and even Little League teams), thanks to their ridiculously good deals on everything from toilet paper to rotisserie chicken. But some deals are better than others.
For the best deals ever, we turned to Costco customers themselves, who adamantly expressed their choice on Reddit.

“No treasure hunt necessary,” says one Redditor. The rotisserie chicken, a hearty three-pound fully roasted, seasoned, succulent, ready-to-eat masterpiece, sits proudly in the center of every Costco, turning heels as it waits (not too long) for Costco customers to order. swing by and grab it.
Costco sells 100 million of them annually, which is no surprise to anyone. At $4.99 per bird, the chain can barely keep those chicks in the oven long enough to bake. The chickens are the evergreen equivalent of a Black Friday doorbuster.

The hot dogs
You don’t even have to come over with a huge shopping list to take part in this deal. Head straight to the cafe area and enjoy the $1.50 hot dog combo deal, which gets you a soda to boot.
The price of this gem has remained the same since its introduction in 1985, and Costco promises never to raise that price. “I buy two, and that’s my meal,” says one hungry Redditor. “I don’t know where else I can get a quick meal that tastes this good for only $3 total.”
Redditors advise you to skip the liquor store and head straight to your nearest Costco. The Kirkland brand six-distilled vodka from the warehouse is less than $25 after tax for the 1.75 liter bottle. The same size bottle of Smirnoff costs about $60. “Two bottles alone make the $60 membership worth it,” said one person.
You can get 18 for $6, baked fresh at the store. One person on Reddit says he likes to add lettuce, aged cheese, mustard, mayo, sriracha, and Costco’s Rotisserie chicken to make delicious sandwiches.
“Roll them in for your lunch, the rolls hold everything well for eating on the go,” they say. “Better than any craft stuff at Starbucks at a fraction of the price, and it tastes great.”
Extra virgin olive oil
The Kirkland EVOO bottle is huge, coming in at 2 liters. It’s cold-pressed, USDA organic, and cheaper than almost any fair trade bottle out there. Plus, dietitians love it Sydney Green say the quality is over-the-top excellent.
“Unlike other brands, some olive oils also contain other seed or vegetable oils that detract from the nutritional value of olive oil,” she says. “This is a high-quality 100% olive oil with an affordable price tag.” The olives are not grown with harmful pesticides, so you can rest assured that you will not have any health problems associated with the EVOO.
Yes, we’re back to the alcohol section. But really, the deals here are great, according to Reddit. “The Kirkland Malbec Reserve is way above its price,” says one person on Reddit. “The Rioja Reserva is really fantastic – especially at $8 a bottle,” adds another.
And a third recommends the Ti Point Sauvignon Blanc, which someone else says is better than most $15 Sauvignon Blancs at other stores. The Brut Sparkling is also great for a very reasonable price, and the champagne is a Redditor’s favorite $20 bottle out there. Moral of the story: Buy the Kirkland brand wine. It is awesome.
