Billie Lourd gives birth, welcomes baby No. 2 with Austen Rydell

May the force be with you Billy Lourd‘s latest bundle of joy.

The Star Wars: The Force Awakens actress welcomed her second child with husband Austen Rydelher father Bryan Lourd revealed at Variety‘s Dealmakers Breakfast in Beverly Hills, California, on Dec. 13.

“My daughter gave birth last night,” he shared on stage during the event. “I left the hospital at 1:30 p.m. and got there at 6 this morning. So I’m a little tired, but happy.”

“Everything is great,” Bryan continued. “So if I digress, it’s because the adrenaline is still flowing.”

Billie and Austen’s newborn joins their 2-year-old son Kingston Fisher Lourd Rydell in the family.

Billie confirmed she was pregnant with baby No. 2 at the September 7 world premiere Ticket to paradisewhere she showed off her growing baby bump as she posed in a rose gold sequin dress with ruffled tulle sleeves.

The Scream queen alum later flowed to E! News of how “excited and shocked” she felt about becoming a mother of two. In particular, she noted that there was one thing about having a family of four that she looked forward to the most.

“Watching my son meet his sibling,” she shared on Oct. 17. “I’m just so excited for that moment. I mean, he might not be so excited about it.”

During Billie’s pregnancy, she said her little toddler couldn’t contain his excitement about becoming a brother.

Billie added: “He’s like, ‘Baby out, baby out!’ And I’m like, ‘Not yet. It’s too early. It’s still cooking, give it time.'”

The Smart book actress – who is the daughter of Bryan and the late Carrie Fisher— also touched on how she wanted to pass on a sense of humor to her children, as well as her parents’ love of travel.

“I have to bring [Kingston] and my husband to Australia and it was so magical,” Billie added. “

And Billie is already keeping her mother’s legacy alive through her son. When she welcomed Kingston in 2020, she paid tribute to Carrie, who passed away at the age of 60 in 2016, by including “Fisher” as part of his name. Billie’s uncle at the time Todd Fisher told E! News that the rest of the family was incredibly moved by the gesture.

“I was very touched that Billie chose to honor her mother by naming her son Kingston Fisher,” he said. “It was very unexpected. Billie has been known as Billie Lourd all her life. It is very loving to give that tribute back to Carrie.”
